Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) benchmark index ended Wednesday’s session in green territory logging the second consecutive rally boosted by the financial sector.
The benchmark index rose by 0.13% gaining 52.06 points and closed at 2125.85 points.
The index had risen by 0.11% to 2123.01 points last session.
The financial sector increased by 0.28%, while the industrial and services sectors declined by 0.19% and 0.04% respectively.
Shares of 129 companies participated in trading, 55 rose, 41 declined while the remaining ones remained unchanged.
The top three gainers were, the Ibn Alhaytham Hospital Company by 6.92%, Middle East Specialized Cables Company/mesc_jordan Plc by 6.25% and First National Vegetable Oil Industries Co. by 5.88%.
The top three losers were, Resources Company For Development And Investment Plc by 6.67%, Al-manara Insurance Plc.co. by 5.56% and Northern Cement Co. by 5.17%.
Total of 5.3 million shares were traded through 3461 transactions at a turnover of JOD 7.4 million.
